Don Arturo Gañan is originally from the department of Caldas. In 1991, he had the opportunity to purchase his own farm and was recommended the Apia area. Since then, he has lived in the Las Cabanas area with his wife and children. They have always dedicated themselves to agriculture, primarily growing coffee. He is one of the first farmers to become certified organic, seeking out good opportunities for the coffee produced in this region. In this process, he learned the concept of proper processing. He practices soil conservation and has a vegetable garden and poultry farm. He always teaches his children the importance of living in this environment, enjoying the peace, tranquility, and wonders of nature.
