He was born in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal. At the age of 7, he moved to Apia with his parents and earned his education working in the coffee industry. Twenty years ago, he acquired his own farm, where he established his home with his wife and children thanks to his hard work and dedication to coffee farming. He has been certified organic for two years and has made progress in improving his family's quality of life.
