Technical assistance

The technical assistance process carried out at Tatamá Organic Farming focuses on educating, monitoring, and supervising producers in aspects of coffee production, wet processing, drying, and storage. This is done under clean production standards, a fundamental pillar of organic certification, which is applied under the USDA NOP and European Union regulations.

Field support is provided to coffee growers who market their coffee through Agropecuaria Orgánica Tatamá to improve the agronomic conditions of their crops, the physical and sensory quality of their parchment coffee, and the management of their farms, thus contributing to improving the producers' quality of life.

The objective is to certify the various voluntary sustainability standards in Agrotatama's production areas and producers, in order to comply with the requirements for purchasing certified coffee in different markets. Agrotatama is certified under the international organic standard (USDA NOP and EU). The demand for certified coffee is growing, and therefore, these requirements must be met. This process under the various standards involves annual internal and external audits to verify compliance with the criteria of each of these standards.

To achieve this, it is important to train and strengthen coffee growers, employees, and clients in coffee production with quality standards to achieve the adoption of practices that improve productivity and quality through the various training methods and tools used in the technical assistance process.
